there are several very nice texture and colors.
Thought the blues could have been a bit lighter but found the
perfect match for our needs which is Ash.
It's nice to see the colors out in the area they will actually be.
The color samples are very very nice. Made of powder coated aluminum in all the available colors. We plan to order the cabinets soon.
Received Matchless color samples which was completely worth it! Helped me select exactly what I wanted.
Extremely pleased with cabinet and customer service. Very well built product.
I really liked that the samples are on the actual material the cabinets are made of. I was worried that they would just be color cards. I do wish that the navy, in both matte and glossy, were more of a substantial blue. The navy is so dark it looks like a faded black. A nice shade of blue would be great.
The cabinet is beautiful matte black with arctic vein counter, side shelf, and cover. We love it and was easy to assemble and grill slid right in! Just love it, great quality!!
The table looks fantastic everything arrived and was better than it even looked on the site. It only took about two weeks to ship and arrived shortly after. I’m getting everything setup and very happy with the quality. There was one snafu with delivery where a drawer got damaged but one email and Jason told me it would be taken care of.
I would like to gave seen one sample of the size and quality of cabinets that would be ordered
Excellent large tumbler, great for multiple uses. I love the hot or cold lid with the flexible straws. This is my go-to road trip coffee mug that saves me from stopping to get additional cups. Keeps drinks warm/cold for hours. Thanks Matchless!
Amazing customer support again. I reached to Matchless about a gap I had after my fridge installation. They asked for measurements and made a custom piece to fill the gap. Really appreciated. Best company ever. So happy to have selected them for my outdoor project.
Finally had a chance to install the cabinets yesterday. Cons - no predrilled holes for mounting. I can see why you’d maybe not drill the backs, but side holes to tie adjacent cabinets (with punch outs in case that’s not how you were going) would’ve made installation easier. The bottom, built in shelves are not consistent. Some spring up, some sit flat. For the price point, reads as cheaply designed or executed. The instructions don’t tell you how to adjust the hinges and one of them had shifted in shipment so didn’t successfully quiet-close. That was a miss from a customer experience. Two of the cabinets had a scratch on the top - didn’t bother me as not visible, but again, for the price - reads as poor packaging. Ditto the wear through of the metal where the two doors meet the bottom face of the cabinet. 3 of 5 had the paint worn completely off from friction/vibration during shipment. At this price point - they could easily have put a piece of tape in those spots - I’m sure it happens all the time. Would have expected that given the price. Finally, they told me the shipping company would call and arrange a time for delivery. Nope, they call and tell you when they H they are showing up. Someone either needs to be there (to inspect and receive) or they ship them back. Didn’t appreciate that last minute surprise.
I tried to upload a video of the bounce in the bottom shelf, but although it says you can upload video, you can in fact - not. The circles are around the spots where the paint was rubbed off during shipping.
Pros, they look good. Like the color options. The handles are nice. But is that what you want to hear as the pros as the manufacturer?
Hi Karl -
Unfortuantely, this is the first time we have heard from you on these issues, and now that you have them installed it makes it a bit difficult for us to remediate the situation.
The bottom shelves should sit perfectly flat, but combined with the other issues we can assume that they were damaged in shipment and that is causing some of the issue. Either that, or the way in which they are installed is causing a slight 'twist' in the cabinet body. The wearing / rubbing from friction is not common, unless things were mis-handled by the carrier.
On your other concerns - we do not pre-punch holes into the sides. Our system is modular and this would cause it to be seen on the ends where the sides are exposed. And, as our install instructions point out, self tapping screws (included) are all that are needed to connect the cabinets side to side, and it's simply for clean alignment. We intentionally design this way so that the finished, installed product looks intentionally clean without excess and unnecessary holes and knockouts. Details on how to adjust hinges can easily be obtained by a quick email to our customer service team.
We do make it clear in our delivery instructions (shown and requiring attestation before payment, then in confirmation emails) that you do need to be present in order to take delivery, and that they should be inspected upon delivery. I can see here that it's been over 2 weeks between delivery and when you installed. We really stress this inspection, as if more than a few days passes by, our ability to leverage our shipping insurace coverage is gone.
The approximate timing is given as well, that your cabinets will ship 2 weeks after order, and then you will hear from the shipper within a few days to receive the delivery. Of course, they will call and suggest a time and day for the delivery, but you can (within reason) ask for different days/times that can work better for your schedule. If this did not occur, we apologize. If you had reached out to us with this concern at the time, we would have helped to accomodate an optimal delivery window with the shipper.
If you'd like to discuss the quality concerns and damage, please reach out to support@matchlesscabinet.com and we will see how we can help resolve.
Thanks
Jason
It’s always nice to see what you’re getting beforehand and these samples confirmed my decision.
Great cabinet. Heavy constructed unit. Locks, drawers and doors work great. Heavy duty wheel makes moving around a breeze even with extra large green egg installed. A great product!
The Fusion Grill Cart was a perfect fit for what I was after. I had some great back-and-forth emails with Jason to make sure it would work for me, and the color samples were very helpful. The cart was pretty easy to move around once you get the wheels on it—and I did that in my driveway right after delivery.
The propane tank cutout was more trouble than I expected, but a pry bar with some gaffer tape on it to avoid any scratches worked very well. Getting the Kamado into the counter cutout was an engineering feat for me and the wife, but it worked out in the end without too much trouble.
I love all the storage space, and the hardware on both the drawers and the doors is solid and well-built.
Really great product. Worth the cost considering the quality.
Hi Geoffrey -
Thanks for the feedback on the LP tank knockout - we are working on making that process of removal easier.
I love the cart except for a few details. The knock out for the propane tank instructions really don’t work very well. Drilling the connection tabs makes it much easier. Second the garbage can drawer was made too small or the drawer slides were not shimmed enough. It jumps out of the track at full extension. The propane knock outs are in the front. The connections are typically in the back and I had to get an extension to the regulator hose. Other than that I love it and I was experienced enough to make the corrections. I expected more for the price and from a 100% American made product.
Hi Steven-
Thanks for the feedback, and we are glad you are mostly happy. On your garbage can drawer, it should certainly not be jumping off the track, so our customer service team will reach out to you about getting that resolved right away.
Regarding the gas hookups and other feedback, we wanted to provide some clarification. As stated in the product description on the website: 'Certain griddles or grills may require accessory components, hoses, etc for hookup. Connection is the responsiblity of the owner / installer.' In fact, many built-in grills do not even provide a regulator and hose, so they can be bought specifically for the install requirements.
On the propane knockouts, if you refer to Page 4 of your setup guide, the knockouts near the front are specifically for a particular Blackstone model; and for all other appliances, there is room to route lines at the back, between the partition and the back panel.
We appreciate the feedback on the LP tank knockout on the floor. Yes, it is a bit difficult to remove so the drilling is a great suggestion, and we may add that to our guide.
The flare cabinet that we chose for our kamado Joe is beautiful. We'll see how it holds up to the weather and Sun here with full Northern Georgia sunshine on our deck. We're hoping that the cabinet will be water resistant if not waterproof to keep our charcoal dry. The blend of color we chose is gorgeous. Only two flaws that I see. One the metal or the KJ sits tends to rock/pop a bit. And the 29 in deep Dimension is off by the matchless name tag fixed to the front. This only makes a difference if your doorway is 29 in and the cabinet says it's 29 in but then a little sandpaper and paint on the door frame and it'll be good as new.
The customer service and attention to detail as well as the ability to actually get the metal color samples ahead of time was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this company if you're looking for a quality long-term cabinet stand for your kamado Joe. All questions were answered by the chats and emails. This definitely beats the couple hundred dollar Home Depot or online China stuff.
The each color available on its own 3x5 aluminum swatch…free of charge! Incredibly helpful in choosing the best color for your outdoor kitchen.
Loving my new Inefrno Grill Cart for Primo XL!
Have been looking at various outdoor kitchen options. The Matchless Cabinets came out on top.
My wife loved the color options, we ended up with Sandstone sides and Capachino for our top.
I will be designing outdoor kitchen islands using the Matchless cabinets in the future, now that I have seen the quality!
Clean lines worked perfectly for our patio. We have 4 ft of stacked stone on all walls. Stamped patio. White Stucco walls and brownish gutters and trims. With all the different textures and colors, we wanted to stay with clean lines and colors that matched. The Matchless Cabinet blended in beautifully with the stucco!
We are so pleased with our new outdoor cabinet for our Egg and griddle. It was relatively easy to put together. Lots of storage space. High quality materials and high end appearance. Egg and griddle to be delivered and installed next week. Can’t wait!
The color samples provided are excellent. The samples are the actual finish of the carts and provide a true representation of the available colors. Definitely worthwhile getting the samples before making a final decision on your color scheme.
