FAQs

What does the Flare Cart weigh?

The Flare Cart weighs approximately 100lbs.

What setup is required for the Flare Cart?

The cart will arrive on a pallet and only requires you bolt on the wheels (and any optional side shelves) and place your grill into the cart.

How do I get my heavy grill into the cart?

Lift. With your legs, not your back!

Heavy ceramic grills can be a bit unwieldly to lift and place into the cart, but it's a one-time job if done right. Some pointers:

  • Remove the interior components, and if possible, the lid.
  • Use 2-3 people.
  • Be careful to not pinch your fingers between the grill and the countertop opening!
  • Protect the surface of the countertop from accidentally scratching it during this process. Use cardboard or a moving blanket to cover the areas to the side of the opening.

When completed, be sure to reward your helpers with tasty food from your grill, and a cold beverage!

Do you have a delivery service that will unbox and install?

We appreciate that not everyone may be up for this, but this is not a service we provide or recommend, since we consider ourselves a DIY product, and to keep our price points favorable.

Our freight providers will deliver your Matchless products to curbside / driveway only.

Can I put my own granite countertop on?

No. The cart is designed with it's top as a part of the construction. While you can replace a top, in the event it's ever damaged, it cannot be replaced with any third party countertop.

How does the hinge on the Kamado Joe (Classic or Big) work with the countertop opening?

Series II and Series III Kamado Joe grills have a sizeable hinge on the back side, and we account for that in our cutouts.

In the case of the Big Joe, this requires a notch in the back of the countertop and the hinge will protrude past the back wall of the cabinet.

In the case of our Patio Line Ceramic Grill Cabinet (non-corner unit), there is a removable panel in the back of the cabinet, to match this cutout.

Why aren't Vision Grills listed? Will they fit in the cart?

Vision Grills have made a lot of different variations through the years, but there isn't a consistent way to determine fit. Contact us with details and pictures of your exact Vision Grill and we'll find a fit!

What is the lead time?

All cabinetry products have a 2 week lead time to manufacture, before shipping. Shipping generally takes 5-7 business days. Please see our shipping information here.

Does the cart come with the grill(s)?

The cart is priced standalone, but we do sell a variety of grills from Evo, Napoleon, FireMagic, AOG, and Primo. Shop here.

Very Happy!

The flare cart fits perfectly in the grilling area off of my screened room. This thing is really well-built. The drawer and side cabinet are the perfect size for my deflector plates, tools and charcoal. Only suggestion would be to add some hooks for tools.

Unfortunately, we had a problem with the freight carrier on this order, (1) not delivering the way in which we booked it, and (2) then damaging it.

As we have pointed out to John, the mistakes are beyond our control as the freight carrier is a contracted third party. Much like dropping a letter in the mailbox, we cannot control if it is lost, damaged, or takes too long to arrive. However, in both cases, our staff was immediately reactive, helping to resolve the situation. During our attempts to help reschedule the delivery, the customer was rude to our staff and made it difficult to reschedule - that does require some conversation.

With the damage, John was offered financial compensation or repair / replacement and chose repair / replacement and the cart was scheduled for return delivery immediately, and we have arranged staff to be in during vacation (July 4th holiday) to repair and get it right back out the door and on the way to John. This was all arranged prior to this negative review.

We have since offered, based on this review, a full refund and return of the product if he is unhappy.

Of this negative review, we would advise 'Reader Beware' as it reflects only the delivery experience conducted by a 3rd party carrier.

***UPDATE***
Mr. Johnson accepted our offer of return and refund, and we even fully issued the refund to his credit card before our receipt of the goods back to our warehouse.
