Unfortunately, we had a problem with the freight carrier on this order, (1) not delivering the way in which we booked it, and (2) then damaging it.
As we have pointed out to John, the mistakes are beyond our control as the freight carrier is a contracted third party. Much like dropping a letter in the mailbox, we cannot control if it is lost, damaged, or takes too long to arrive. However, in both cases, our staff was immediately reactive, helping to resolve the situation. During our attempts to help reschedule the delivery, the customer was rude to our staff and made it difficult to reschedule - that does require some conversation.
With the damage, John was offered financial compensation or repair / replacement and chose repair / replacement and the cart was scheduled for return delivery immediately, and we have arranged staff to be in during vacation (July 4th holiday) to repair and get it right back out the door and on the way to John. This was all arranged prior to this negative review.
We have since offered, based on this review, a full refund and return of the product if he is unhappy.
Of this negative review, we would advise 'Reader Beware' as it reflects only the delivery experience conducted by a 3rd party carrier.
***UPDATE***
Mr. Johnson accepted our offer of return and refund, and we even fully issued the refund to his credit card before our receipt of the goods back to our warehouse.
