Features and Product Information

Do you have countertops available? Can you recommend countertops?

Matchless Cabinets can be topped with counters no different than your interior kitchen cabinets. Many of our customers choose to use granite or synthetic stone materials, such as Cosentino Dekton which is known for it's superior durability in outdoor scenarios.

If you're looking for an all-in-one solution for countertops, you can configure your Matchless Cabinets with powder-coated aluminum tops (see our color / finish detail here). Stainless steel is also available.

Because all countertop plans are specific to your layout and design, it's necessary to use our Matchless Planner to price and purchase these countertops. All plans will be reviewed by our design team for accuracy and you will be contacted if there are any questions.

If you need help, you can schedule a consult with our team.

What makes the cabinet finish so durable?

The powder coating process is done by an electorstatic application of a dry powder, settled into place via application of heat.

The result is a durable, thick finish that is magnitudes harder than common paints. Additionally, it only requires a single coat which makes for easy application, and allows for custom textured finishes otherwise not possible with paint.

This process is also much more environmentally friendly, producing minimal volatile organic compounds.

Why is aluminum used for the construction?

Powder-coated aluminum is nearly corrosion resistant, and is only subject to rust and corrosion when left bare in extreme wet conditions. The powder coat surface on our cabinets will protect it against the harshest environments for years.

Our aluminum is 11 and 14 guage (plus 8 gauge for countertops), Type 5052, making it more than twice the thickness of most painted steel utility cabinetry. Combined with our box construction, double wall doors and drawer fronts, and finish it is strong and sturdy, and will outperform other products on the market.

Where are the cabinets manufactured and assembled?

Our cabinets are built in the USA, with a manufacturing partner in northern Indiana. With the exception of a few individual parts, like drawer slides and hinges, these cabinets are completely made in the USA.

How does it compare to "big box store" cabinets?

Our cabinets are all built to standard box cabinet sizes - this means they are the same dimensions of standard kitchen cabinet options. Compared to utility cabinetry and outdoor kitchen cabinetry commonly found at large retail chains, Matchless Cabinet can offer a larger variety of configuration options to meet all of your unique needs.

How are the cabinets constructed?

Every cabinet begins it's life as 8, 11 or 14 gauge Type 5052 aluminum and is precision laser-cut, and then formed by skilled American craftsmen.

From there, every piece is fully powder-coated before final assembly, which is done via rivets and welds - no screws or other fasteners to loosen or weaken over time.

What are the color options, and are samples available?

Matchless Cabinet currently offers a range of color finishes, and in each one of our products you may select an optional second color for doors and drawers at no charge!

You can view the colors, and order a set of free samples (of the actual material and finish) from our store, right here.

What hinges / closing mechanisms do you use?

All hardware for our cabinets has been chosen to provide the absolute best performance for many years to come.

Drawer glides: we use Blum undermount, soft close drawer glides. This gives a clean, modern look, and reduces the amount of debris that can fall into the glides.

Hinges: Salice soft close hinges will not seize in colder temperatures. They are great for garage, basement, and outdoor kitchen.
